Menyatukan Spiritualitas dan Ekologi: Peran Vital Penyuluhan Agama Dalam Pelestarian Lingkungan
Abstract
This article highlights the importance of uniting spirituality with ecological awareness in maintaining the sustainability of the Earth. Religious education is identified as a crucial factor in this endeavor, facilitating a deeper understanding of the relationship between humans and the universe. In many religious traditions, values such as social responsibility, justice, and peace are deeply rooted, but awareness of the importance of environmental conservation does not always reach all religious followers. Interfaith collaboration is crucial in achieving the common goal of environmental preservation, allowing for exploration of new ways to involve spirituality in environmental protection. The article also identifies some challenges, such as resistance to change and difficulty integrating spiritual values into tangible actions. In addressing these challenges, a holistic approach to religious education that combines theological knowledge with practical actions is expected to create positive change towards a more sustainable future for our planet.
