Abstract

In the midst of rapid technological advances and social change, Bible literacy faces new challenges to remain relevant and accessible to all groups. This paper aims to explore how we can understand the Bible more deeply in the modern era, taking into account changes in cultural context and information technology. We will discuss the importance of a contextual hermeneutical approach, the use of digital media in Christian religious education, and how Bible literacy can help build character and spirituality in an era of technological disruption. Using descriptive qualitative methods and a literature study approach, we identified that Bible teaching in the digital era must be based on the foundation and call of teaching according to the Bible, and utilize Information Technology as an effective educational medium. The research results show that good Bible literacy can produce a richer and more applicable understanding for modern society.
