Peran Guru Bimbingan Konseling Dalam Meningkatkan Prestasi Belajar Siswa Broken Home Di Sma Negeri 1 Kep. Sula
Abstract
This study aims to describe the role of Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers in improving the academic performance of broken home students at SMA Negeri 1 Kepulauan Sula. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results show that the BK teacher plays the role of a counselor, emotional companion, and academic facilitator. Through a humanistic approach and individual counseling, broken home students experience positive changes in motivation and learning outcomes. The collaboration between the guidance counselor, homeroom teacher, and principal also strengthens the success of the counseling process. Despite facing time constraints and the diverse characters of students, the BK teacher remains an important figure in building students' resilience. This research provides practical contributions to the development of contextual BK services, particularly in island regions with limited access to psychological services
