Abstract

The aim of this study was to improve IPAS (Natural and Social Sciences) learning outcomes for fifth-grade students at SD GMIM Kolongan Atas through the application of the demonstration method. The study employed a classroom action research design conducted over two cycles, with each cycle comprising the following procedures: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques included observation and testing; observation involved the use of specific instruments, while testing involved administering questions or evaluations. The research subjects were eleven fifth-grade students at SD GMIM Kolongan Atas, consisting of six boys and five girls. The findings indicated that the demonstration method was effective in improving student learning outcomes. In Cycle I, the average student learning outcome reached 65%. In Cycle II, the percentage of learning mastery increased to 90.90%. The study concludes that the application of the demonstration method can improve IPAS learning outcomes for fifth-grade students at SD GMIM Kolongan Atas..
