Abstract

This study aims to analyze the processes, values, strategies, and supporting and inhibiting factors in the internalization of religious moderation values within Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. This study employed a qualitative approach using library research. Data were obtained from books, scientific journal articles, research findings, and relevant documents discussing religious moderation and PAI learning. The data were analyzed using descriptive-interpretive content analysis through the stages of reduction, categorization, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the internalization of religious moderation encompasses national commitment, tolerance, non-violence, and an accommodating attitude toward local culture, implemented through the stages of value transformation, value transaction, and value transinternalization. The success of this process is supported by dialogical and contextual learning strategies, teacher role modeling, an inclusive school culture, and support from the educational environment. This study concludes that religious moderation values need to be systematically integrated into the entire PAI learning process so that they do not remain at the conceptual level but develop into students’ awareness, attitudes, and character in everyday life
