Transformasi Media Pembelajaran Digital dalam Pendidikan Agama Islam: Inovasi dan Efektivitas Pembelajaran
Abstract
Digital transformation has driven significant changes in learning, including in Islamic Religious Education (PAI), which has historically been identified with conventional lecturing, memorization, and classical text study. This article conceptually examines the transformation of digital learning media in PAI, covering the forms of media and technology innovation being utilized and their effectiveness in improving the quality of religious learning. This study employs a qualitative approach through the library research method, in which data were gathered from books, journal articles, and relevant scholarly documents and analyzed descriptively-analytically. The findings indicate that innovations in digital learning media such as digital Qur'an applications, memorization (tahfiz) apps, videos of exemplary stories, online quizzes on Islamic ethics (akidah akhlak), and Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) simulations for worship-related material make a real contribution to the effectiveness of PAI learning, particularly in visualizing abstract concepts, strengthening learning motivation, and expanding access to religious materials. Supporting technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Learning Management Systems (LMS), and cloud computing further support the personalization and efficiency of PAI learning. Nevertheless, the effectiveness of this transformation is still constrained by challenges such as the technology access gap, low digital literacy among some PAI teachers, and concerns over preserving the authenticity of religious values and adab amid the rapid pace of digitalization. Development strategies are needed, including digital literacy training for PAI teachers, infrastructure provision, and the integration of technology with pedagogical approaches and the values of religious moderation, so that digital PAI learning innovation can proceed effectively while preserving its Islamic essence.
