Peran Orangtua Dalam Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Peserta Didik Kelas IV SD Gmim Ranolambot

Abstract

This study aims to identify the roles parents play in the learning process and the difficulties they encounter in this regard. The findings indicate that parental roles include acting as home-based teachers (educators), facilitators, and motivators. Difficulties experienced by parents while supporting students' learning include a lack of understanding of the study material, parents being preoccupied with work, and students treating their studies casually; additionally, some students struggle with reading comprehension, understanding Science (IPA) lessons, and participating in group work. This study employs a qualitative method utilizing observation guidelines, interview protocols, and documentation. Based on these results, it can be concluded that parental involvement plays a crucial role in students' education. The study suggests that parents should manage their time effectively to ensure that their children's home-based learning proceeds successfully
